  Excellent tent with a few recommendations

  Super happy with the quality of everything. The tent is solid, easy to setup and take down unlike our 10 year old Tepui. Would love an option for an upgraded mattress. It's the best factory mattress I've seen in a rtt but not quite as good as some of the upgraded mattresses like the upgraded Tepui mattress which was amazing. My main gripe is the heater duct placement. It's in a terrible spot, it's too low and sticks into the tent too far. I have to place something underneath of it to direct the air up so it's not cooking my upper body. Knowing this, I'd still buy it again but it'd be great to see this improved. I'm sure we'll see some sort of quick connect molded into the hard frame or soft shell vs a small slit with a zipper. One minor thing is the front door, would like to see the screen mesh and door hang down vs zip down so you arent climbing in on it. Also when it hangs down the door is mostly closed when unzipped vs wide open with the way it is now.

  XD Everest Hard Shell

  I have owned this camper now for 6 months. It provides great quick deployment, excellent cold and hot weather insulation having been in both freezing and 105 + degree weather. I have used a heater and my own designed swamp cooler to keep cool in the AZ summer heat. I have a 270 deg Awning with all sides and the privacy room that attaches to the fold out portion/door of the tent.. All things work well together!

  Love it!!

  evious issue with a hard shell plastic tent and OVS took care of me. This XD tent is way better and the quality is very good. The aluminum shell is very good and I like that it has the ability for rail attachments. It’s great for me and the wife and we have used it 5 times so far with no issues. Zippers, hardware and material are high quality and I don’t see them breaking down soon. Most all tent mattresses are not very good but this one is at least way more comfortable than all the other ones I’ve had. Put a thick sleeping bag over it and it’s great. We have used the inner insulation attachment in temps of 18F with wind and it does make a big difference however, it’s still pretty cold so we pair this with a LF Bros diesel heater and it’s so hot we have to open the windows. Overall I like OVS because they stand behind their product and I’m very happy with my tent.

  Amazing!

  After much debate between OVS and iKamper, I decided to go with OVS and I'm so happy with my decision! I've used it on 4 separate camping trips and it's been super comfortable and easy to put up and down all by myself. It definitely is on the heavier side, but that's what sold me on it and so far my 1st gen Tacoma has handled it well. My hubby also loves the comfort of it, though I may add some extra cushion for him and we both loved how well the weather insulation kit worked. Excited to try it out during our camping trip in February with some snow. And I definitely can't wait for the annex room to be available :) watching my poor 6'2" hubby try to change his clothes in the tent was hilarious. Overall I believe I will stick with OVS for quite some time!

  Love this tent!

  I have been the proud owner of many OVS products over the years. I have owned the Nomadic 2 tent and loved it but I was in the market for a hardshell so I can carry gear on top and came across this tent. This tent is amazing! The black out lining on the inside is a game changer! I also love the fact that this tent comes with the cold winter liner. This tent is heavy duty for sure! Super easy to set up and tear down on trips. My family loves it!
