  Love it but....

  I just love my XD 270, Got one of the very first ones after waiting 2 months for it to be released. It does everything as advertised, the lights are nice and will even dim. Stout it is and the awning covering is sweet rand really blocks the sun. Be aware this thing is heavy! I have it mounted to three Thule Wing Bars and am adding a 4th and it takes at least two of us to mount it to the truck. My biggest beef is the cover bag. It is great quality but they could have spent another two bucks and made it a 1/2 inch to 1 inch more in diameter. These things stay mounted to our vehicles (mine is a Tundra with a top) and stay out in the sun and the bag will and does shrink. I got the zipper caught in the awning material trying to stow it (remember it is high on a Tundra) and the darn bag was so small I could not get it loose and had to remove the entire thing from the vehicle to get it unstuck and in doing so one of the zipper pulls broke off in my hand so now in addition to the bag being to small I only have one zipper pull working and this sucks and yes I say again the cover bag is just to small. Would I order it again, for sure, would I have them make me a bigger bag, Yes that would be a condition of sale. Hey overland systems, can I order/get a bigger cover bag with some really nice zipper pulls pretty please??

  XD 270 Awning on Mercedes Metris

  I absolutely love this XD Awning! From the quality of materials and workmanship, to the level of coverage that t gives me with how much it wraps around my van. And the lighting strips come n clutch when needing some light at night. You definitely won’t be disappointed in this purchase if you decide to go this route.

  Most Brilliant Awning

  After reviewing numerous videos, websites, and reviews on awnings, I went with the XD Nomadic 270. Why did I choose Nomdic? At first, I thought it was a gamble — many varieties of awnings are available, most of which are traditional furls in and out, with or without a motor, and also other 270 makers. Once the awning arrived, I installed it on the roof rack and was astonished. Not just by how well it fits, ease of opening and closing (don't listen to the reviews where users say it's complicated to store away...once you learn the way, it is simple to close and store away), the quality of each time is incredible. Extreme high-quality metal, excellent canvas material, and attention to detail exceed exceptions. The best part is that the awning covers so much area yet folds small and is less than half the cost of traditional roll-in awnings, less than 70% in cost than the motorized versions, which will one day break. Oh, and customer support is excellent...I had questions when purchasing and during installation, instant responses via email and phone...and yes, I paid for this awning, not sponsored. Deeply thankful for making this leap of faith with the XD Nomadic.
