Overall experience with this company and shipping was good. We just returned from our first camp out with this tent and we are very impressed. The tent rode well on my Xterra and set up was about 20 minutes. Roomier then expected and the mattress was good. I purchased the Overland led lights and they are bright yet dim able. Don’t know about longevity but for now, I don’t see why you would need a more expensive rtt.
We are a retired couple who recently took up “over landing” in Florida! After looking at many different brands, we decided to go with OVS’s TMBK 3 rooftop tent as it had all the features we were looking for while still remaining lightweight. We received the tent from California and all the packaging was in great shape, but we were missing a few pieces of hardware. We wanted to use it right away, so we purchased some bolts and parts locally and put the tent together and got it up on the roof of our Subaru Crosstrek! It went up nicely and we took it camping! We loved the flow through ventilation and even had to lower one outer door flap as it got a little too breezy! Better than not enough breeze though! We enjoyed using our tent and look forward to our next outing! By the way, the shipping company was great and the delivery guy was awesome! We are so excited to finally be enjoying our retirement this way! Thank you Overland Vehicle Systems!
I am very happy with my RTT. Haven’t used yet but from unboxing it I can tell very welt built
Just got it and set it up on the gladiator, really nicely made for the price and simple up and down setup. no instructions included but was able to print them out here.
Excellent product! Very well built and already a ton of fun. Easy to setup and install. My only feedback would be that it was weird there was no directions with the tent. Had to find them on your website.
I was a little weary about buying a tent here due to lack of reviews but I took a chance and I think it is going to be great! I Installed my TMBK 3 Person Tent yesterday and it seems like it is good quality. It is very well packed and I noticed no damage. I have not slept in the tent yet, but I have laid down on it and it is amazing! I figured you would at least be able to feel the bard bottom and you can't. Tent construction feels sturdy, although when the tent is open, there is a small amount of separation between the rails and the hard bottom of the tent, so I will be sending a picture to OVS and asking about it. My one gripe so far is that the tent comes with no installation instructions. There is one Youtube video of someone installing the Nomadic tent, so I could follow that installation because it is similar but OVS really needs to provide instructions - especially because they say the warranty is void if not installed properly. Overall I am really excited to use this tent.
Love this tent. Just got back from 6 days on the KAT and it was great. Every thing held up and worked flawlessly. Being cold at night it didi get some moisture inside but any tent will if ypu have to close all the windows. No leaks no breaks no tears. Held me my wife and a 1 and 3 year old perfectly. Only thing I would like is a larger shoe bag. Barely holds 2 pairs of boots. Would recommend and would buy again if i had to.
