Clam Shell Opening Roof Top Tent

Clam shell roof top tents are by far the easiest tents to set up. First, make sure to open all necessary latches that are around the closed exterior of the roof top tent. For example, the XD Lhotse Roof Top Tent has 4 heavy-duty latches around the closed perimeter, so make sure you unlatch these before attempting to open.

Second Step involves lifting the handle on the tent and the nitrogen gas charged struts should lift the rest of the tent for you.

Next, you'll have to pull and bring the bungee cord down to the base of the tent in order to expand the tent fabric and have access to all of the entrances.

After that, insert the rainfly rods into the tent rod insertion points on the edge of the tent. Then insert the hook into the grommet of the rainfly.

Finally, attach the hooks of the telescoping ladder to the ladder mounts.
